A discreet intimate gift needs a recipient-led plan
A gift feels considered when the recipient can choose freely. Ask whether the category is welcome before arranging a private delivery.
Make permission part of the gift
Ask about the kind of item rather than surprising someone with an expectation. They may prefer to choose together, request a specific model or avoid intimate gifts. Any of those answers can guide a thoughtful decision. A relationship milestone does not establish permission.
Check the delivery details
Discuss where the recipient wants the parcel sent. Read the sender-label, outer-packaging and tracking-notification arrangements. A plain box may still show a return address or appear in a shared account. Do not assume a workplace delivery or anonymous-looking label is comfortable for them.
Make declining uncomplicated
Read gift returns and opened-item restrictions and keep the necessary order record. Avoid a note that implies the gift must be used together. The price, effort and occasion do not create an obligation. If privacy or returns are unclear, a different gift can be the better choice.

Return to the documentation checklist. Mark what this exact model leaves unresolved; a comparison or gift decision does not fill the gap.
Before you decide
Does the recipient control the category, delivery and decision to keep or use the gift?
